Playing in the leaves

Emma and I played outside today. What a beautiful fall day! We are so happy to have a large yard to play in now. Emma toddled all around and crunched leaves to her heart's content.

I often hear people say that they don't like fall because everything is dying and it reminds them that winter is on its way. That always sounds funny to me because I see fall as a time of excitement and anticipation in the air. Kids go back to school, new programs start at church, the holidays come into view... It just seems to me like a celebration of the fullness of life. I love fall!

My favorite wreath

Here's my favorite wreath. I made it from scratch several years ago and it has hung on lots of doors. This is the 6th place we have lived in the seven and a half years of our marriage! Whenever I hang this up our place feels more homey...

But the wreath doesn't make me at home, these three make me at home!

Great support

We are moved into our "new" condo and absolutely LOVE it! We couldn't have gotten here and gotten all unpacked without the incredible support structure that we have. My mom is the hardest worker and has the biggest servant's heart of anyone I know. I hope to learn more of that from her. She has cleaned, packed, unpacked, loaded, unloaded, moved, recleaned, watched Emma, cooked, done laundry, and too many other things for me to remember. I can't thank her enough and am super blessed to be her daughter!
In addition to my mom, we have had several other family members and friends take their time to help us move and unpack. We couldn't have done it without you and thank you for loving us!

Go Bucks!

I think Emma knows the secret of who will win the game!

Our new digs

Here's our new condo that we are renting. We are so thankful that the Lord has provided this opportunity. It will help us save money each month and will be everything we need and more. What a blessing!

To make me smile

Emma can't dress herself but she can definitely express what she does and does not want. This is how she wanted to be dressed this afternoon. And it made me smile. She enjoys making me laugh and will do the same trick over and over to get me laughing so hard that I cry. What a joy to be her momma!
