Pigtails in purple

Emma had a cup of water, which she was drinking very well I might say, and then decided to pour it on the floor and share it with the dog.

Note the pigtails... her hair is long enough to pull all of it up into the hair ties!

Ok, so the part in the back isn't very straight. Emma was a moving target despite the fact I had her corralled to the countertop in the bathroom.

Baby Beethoven

Emma loves to play the piano and some teachers say that when kids use their fingers individually it's a good indication that they will learn to play young.

And of course, the big finish and self satisfaction are wonderful!

Please pass the remote

Emma and Jon watched the Super Bowl together.

Emma was watching her favorite DVD "Noodlebug" and eating "O's".

Emma has become a fan of "Wheel of Fortune". She yells out the letters as the contestants guess them.

The dog days of winter

Jarrah hates to go outside to go potty when it's rainy/snowy. However playing outside in the same snow is a different story all together. She races around, kicks up her heals and gets snow all over her face. Today, Jon stayed inside with Emma while she napped and Jarrah and I played outside in the snow.

"beah"

Emma loves her "beah" (bear) slippers, and in fact, thinks that they alone equal being dressed.

Happy Anniversary

I love you Jon! Happy 8 years. You "get" me. You know me- my clutter moods, my need to spend ten minutes picking out shampoo (based on smell), my need for you to rejoice with me over finding a great sale, my need to be reaffirmed, loved, held and hugged. You know that what I WANT after a bad day is to slam things around and complain and be mad, and you know what I really NEED is for you to hug me and not let me go for several mintues. You know that when I tell you "I'm hungry" that you have about 30 minutes to get me food or I get very cranky and shortly after that will get sick. You think my crabby moods are often "cute" and know that I love having my closet organized by color. (And you even did that FOR me the last two times we moved.) You keep me grounded when I lose perspective. You are so very compassionate to me and so quick to forgive. You make me want to be a better person and you are a wonderful dad, husband and spiritual leader. I'd be lost without you. You have my heart. Happy anniversary. Here's to being that little old couple holding hands and celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

It's official!

Jon got accepted into both internship programs that he applied to! Both Akron and Strongsville contacted us and after much deliberation Jon has decided to go to Strongsville. The program doesn't start until mid July.
We are so thankful for how the Lord has worked in this situation and for His faithfulness.
